How to Have Faith in God Completely (Even When You’re Out of Coffee and Clients)
Ever cried in the church parking lot with a to-do list longer than the book of Leviticus? I have. And if you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’ve been there too.
It usually starts with something small: You spill your coffee, your kid forgets their science project, a client ghosts you (again)… and suddenly you’re asking yourself:
“How am I supposed to trust God with everything when everything feels like it’s falling apart?”
Welcome, friend. Let’s talk about what it really means to have faith in God completely—without needing to fake it, force it, or fold under pressure.
What Does “Faith in God Completely” Even Mean?
If you’re like most NACWE women, you’re not new to faith. You’ve led the Bible study, sung the worship songs, and probably taught Sunday School while launching your Etsy shop and cooking gluten-free pasta.
But when we talk about complete faith, we’re not talking about saying “God’s got this” while secretly refreshing Stripe to see if any payments came through.
We’re talking about:
- Trusting Him with your business strategy.
- Believing He’s still good even when your launch flops.
- Knowing He sees you when nobody else likes your post, buys your thing, or validates your worth.
It’s not passive. It’s not ignoring problems. It’s active surrender. (Yes, both at the same time.)
1. Faith Doesn’t Mean You Have a Business Plan From Heaven
I wish it did. Imagine an angel dropping a color-coded, revenue-generating Trello board straight from heaven.
But most of the time, faith looks like walking into the fog—one obedient step at a time.
In fact, Hebrews 11:8 reminds us that “by faith, Abraham obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.” Sound familiar?
So no, you’re not failing because you don’t have it all figured out. You’re walking by faith… which might actually be the plan.
2. Your Fear Is Not a Faith Failure
Let’s get honest: We Christian women entrepreneurs are great at shaming ourselves for being scared.
But friend, feeling fear doesn’t mean your faith is broken.
Even Jesus sweat blood in Gethsemane. Complete faith is not the absence of fear—it’s choosing to trust anyway.
You can be nervous about raising your prices and still trust God. You can doubt your worth and still believe He called you. You can cry (in the car, in the pantry, or in the parking lot) and still be a woman of faith.
3. Faith Means Leaving Room for Miracles… and Mistakes
Sometimes God shows up in jaw-dropping, miracle-level ways. Other times… He lets us mess up, miss the mark, or miss the sale.
And both are part of the story.
If you’re waiting for perfect conditions to trust Him—good luck. Ecclesiastes 11:4 says:
“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.”
In other words: if you’re waiting until everything feels “right” to take the next step, you’ll be standing still for a long time.
Start the business. Raise the price. Send the pitch. Write the devotional. Record the course.
Your faith isn’t in the outcome—it’s in the One who owns it.
4. Obedience Is Greater Than Outcomes
Here’s the hard truth I had to learn (and relearn every month): Faith isn’t always rewarded with a testimonial and a five-figure launch.
Sometimes obedience looks like doing the right thing and getting… crickets.
But we are not called to be successful on the world’s terms—we are called to be faithful.
So whether 1 person or 1000 show up—your yes matters. Your faith is not wasted. God sees you when nobody else does. And that quiet, consistent obedience? That’s complete faith in action.
5. Community Helps You Trust God on the Days You Can’t
One of the fastest ways to lose faith is to try and do it alone.
If you’re only talking to your planner, your podcast queue, and your Pinterest board, you’re missing one of God’s greatest gifts: community.
You don’t need more noise—you need like-minded women who can pray with you, brainstorm with you, and remind you why you started when you feel like quitting.
This is why NACWE exists. Because you were never meant to figure it all out alone.
When you’re too tired to pray, we’ll hold space for you. When your faith feels weak, we’ll remind you who your God is. When you start spiraling, we’ll text you Scripture (and maybe a meme or two).
Practical Ways to Strengthen Your Faith (Even When Life Is Loud)
Here are a few small, daily habits that can help you stay rooted in complete faith—even when everything’s chaotic:
- One verse. Every day. Just one. Write it. Tape it to your laptop. Let it preach to your doubt.
- Ask God first. Before checking Instagram or asking a coach, ask Him what He thinks.
- Create space for rest. Yes, literally. Faith means trusting that the world won’t collapse if you stop working.
- Say no quicker. Every “yes” to something God didn’t assign is a “no” to something He did.
- Stay in community. You already know this. Just do it. You need people who get you.
So, How Do You Have Faith in God Completely?
You trust Him with the email that no one opened. You trust Him with the coaching call that went off the rails. You trust Him with the launch, the bills, the budget, the breakdowns.
You trust Him when you’re confident. You trust Him when you’re curled up on the bathroom floor wondering why you thought you could do this.
You practice how to surrender to God even when it’s inconvenient. You learn to balance faith and business without compromising either one.
That’s complete faith.
Not shiny. Not filtered. But real, raw, everyday trust in a very faithful God.
