Your Missional Message as an Entrepreneur

 

We all are on a mission in some way. Humans are made to be missional… let me repeat that – humans are made to be missional. We share every day, all day. There are so many messages out there today, right?. “Practice this technique to sell well.” “Take this product, be skinny in no time.” “Vote for Pedro” … “Let me tell you why my sports team is the best”… “Look at this funny meme” … “Are you walking your steps?” … “Subarus are the best!” … “I just got back from the best vacation ever” Then there is the constant complainer – we all know at least one – the person who can suck the happy out of the room, mercy! I pray for mercy for the complainer and that when I’m the complainer I get mercy and prayer, too!  

 

 

Your Missional Message – What is your message? 

 

What is your message? Are you intentional about your message? What do you want as your message?

 

I pray your missional messages will glorify God. My missional message hasn’t always been glorifying to God, we all get bogged down by life, but I strive to be intentional about the messages I’m sending and to be Gospel and mission focused more every day. 

 

Will you strive with me this year to be intentional and missional with your message?

 

My name is Kathy Gifford, I am your NACWE Missions Coordinator. I grew up on the mission field – a foreign mission field in Guatemala, Central America. I can tell you how missions go and I have a million stories of missions. But I will not “arrive” at being perfectly missional until I see Jesus, I will always be striving and learning what it means to walk daily as a missionary of the Gospel. Gratefully, as my relationship with the Lord grows so does my perspective. Isn’t it wonderful how God created the Bible to still speak to us wherever we are in our growth? Hebrews 4:12 (HCSB) says that the “Word is ALIVE and ACTIVE”, as we grow it teaches us more and more. I am learning to re-define missions for myself as a missionary of the Gospel to see what it looks like for me daily. 

 

Your Missional Message – You are a missionary!

You are a missionary! The Bible says as Christ followers, we are all to be missionaries of the Good News to all people. We begin locally – family, our own church family, and local ministries. We branch out to include extended family, state and national ministries, and then “to the ends of the earth” – international ministries. (Acts 1:8) I pray, as NACWE sisters, we can be intentional daily towards our message. I start by asking myself, “What messages am I sending?”. 

 

 

 

Your Missional Message – What messages are you sending? 

 

What messages are you sending? How will you start to become more missional? Some of the things God calls us to do are gloriously uncomfortable and at times they can cause a physical reaction from the fear of rejection or the fear of saying the wrong thing, but when we invite Him to use us, He gives us power by sending the Holy Spirit to help us (John 14:26). We have to remember in moments of doubt that we are obeying the Lord, it is not our job to convict the heart of the receiver – that’s the Holy Spirit’s job. Our job is to share the love of the Savior with joy and consistency so all who know us will know Him.

Dear Sister, I pray blessings on your message, mission, and life! I pray that if you don’t know the Savior intimately, you will be encouraged and inspired to get to know Him. Engage with Him daily. Invite Him into your moments. Look for His hand on your life. These things I pray for you, for your good and His glory!
