Spirit-Filled Connections
Guest Post by Kathie Best
Entrepreneurs are a blessed breed. We identify our passions and own a vision to carry it out and see it through. Christian Women Entrepreneurs have the inside scoop from our ‘Big Boss’, CEO, who planted our passions as tiny seeds. Through the years we toil, cultivate, and carefully prune what God gifted us to tend. We grow spiritually, alongside our businesses.
This is hard work, gals.
We could not see it through if we did not connect with other women who have experienced the pain, fear, failures, and success that each of us endures along our journeys. God has connected us with helpers since the beginning (Genesis 2:18). He knew life would be hard sometimes. He is good, and he always sends his Spirit and others so that we will not be alone.
I am new to the entrepreneurial world. I met with Diane Cunningham, (President and Founder of National Association of Christian Women Entrepreneurs (NACWE)) in January. She guided and directed as we discussed my passions and visions. She helped me form a business plan. I joined a Mastermind group and connected with other Christian Women Entrepreneurs. I birthed my business in January. I spent 90 days with them and learned more than I can list in this limited space. I feel as if my head may burst from all the ideas. And I know with their help and guidance, I will succeed.
These gorgeous women share their knowledge, passions, and spiritual giftedness. Without Diane and “my Master Minds”, I would be struggling, trying to figure out my next step, and my next, and – my next.
They are fellow business owners, but also business leaders. They affirmed me and rejoiced as I shared my individual insight, and they helped me see my leverage. They exhorted me by challenging me to adopt nothing less than high standards for my business. They submitted to God, and met my needs for learning how to identify my niche, my strengths, and my weaknesses. They built me up.
This is what we receive as members of NACWE. We form safe spiritual relationships with women who help each other succeed. We encourage each other through toils, and assist and affirm one another as we cultivate and prune. We celebrate our victories.
I am thankful God placed me in this association. I am reminded daily through my connections with women I only “met” through the Mastermind group and “friended” on a Face book wall that God is my Big Boss and ‘you’ are my fellow, passionate, visionaries.
