When we talk about social wellness, “social media” first comes to mind since it is a phrase we hear over and over each week.
Yes, social wellness is social media, but it is so much more.
Social Wellness, Definitions
The word “social” means community or group and the need to be in a community or group. Wellness, well you know what that means since it has been our theme all year!
Social Wellness is NACWE!
When I think of “social wellness,” I think of NACWE!
This group has been a community that has encouraged me to stay well by constantly learning and growing through webinars and masterminds.
It has been a group of ladies to connect with, laugh with, pray with, and cry with, which has caused my heart to be well.
It has been a group that I can depend on to cheer me on when the going gets tough and celebrate the successes with me.
It has been a like-minded group that writes together, prays together, celebrates together, and makes plans together. I’m not being redundant here because we do this over and over. We come together socially for many reasons and when we do, that makes us socially well.
This group has kept me well socially by connecting with each other during the COVID crisis, meeting in Pomodoro sessions, the prayer call, webinars, and Virtual SIPs of Coffee/Chats!
Having NACWE friends across the miles has made all the difference in my wellness, especially during the lonely Covid moments and being sick the last few months.
Just today, I called a NACWE friend, and she helped me re-title my book. It was a blessing, and it was a blast!
Those moments are not to be done alone. We are to be connected in community loving and serving each other.
We are to interconnect and enjoy the social community God gives us.
If you are reading this, you are part of NACWE, and you are getting the newsletter or seeing this on a Facebook post, so I ask you, “Are you tapping into all NACWE has to offer?” If not, get connected, start making friends for life, show up for Pomodoro Work Sessions, attend a webinar, pray with us on Thursdays, and enjoy the social wellness that NACWE provides for you!
