Ready To Win?

We are in a season of change! People are talking about changes that need to occur with their bodies (health and eating right), their minds (making plans for the future), and their spirits (developing their relationship with God). Within a few weeks or months, most will find out that nothing is working. I once heard the definition of insanity is looking for something different to happen but doing everything the same.
What makes change happen? Discouragement usually comes when change never occurs. I found three things that will make change occur.
1. W – Want. You have to greatly desire change.. Make sure your desires are in line with God’s. “Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
2. I – Invest. When you are ready to make a change, you need to invest time, money or both. When we invest in God’s word, we discover truth that will set us free. (John 8:32)
3. N – Never give up. When Jesus knew Peter would have a faith failure, He encouraged him “….and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” (Luke 22:32)
Remember in 1 John 2:1, “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense — Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” (NIV)
Let’s take advantage of God’s grace and mercy. Through His power, we can be an overcomer.
