Maintain Your BELIEFS: How to Repair the Stained, Scratched, and Dented Areas of Your Business
Maintain Your BELIEFs
You need to plan toward consistent maintenance for your beliefs and business and ministry so the stained, scratched and dented areas don’t escalate to unmanageable levels!
We’ve been living in the same house since 2001. We’ve worked hard to fix exterior storm damage along the way, and still afford a family vacation most years. Now our daughter is 17, and we have many wonderful memories together.
A few years ago, my husband and I noticed we also had stained carpeting, scratched walls, and dented linoleum. We’d kept up with necessary repairs to keep our house standing, but the interior had suffered.
And so it is with our businesses and our lives.
What areas of your life are looking a little stained, scratched, and dented?
Maintenance For Your Beliefs and Business
Maintenance for your beliefs and business requires intention and action. It begins with a secure foundation, and that foundation is Jesus!
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 7:24-27 ESV
In the Firm Up Your Life and BIZ Foundations C&E webinar, Karan asks us to meditate on Matthew 7:24-27, and write down any words that stand out. One phrase caused me to pause as I glanced at my carpeting over my laptop.
“and does them…”
In this parable, Jesus tells us to assume the storms will come on the wise and the foolish alike, so He must be our foundation.
But, the present-tense phrase “and does them” reveals that after we build our home on a firm foundation, we still have to maintain it.
What is Jesus telling you as you reflect on Matthew 7:24-27?
Level Up On Your BELIEFS in 2021
Maintenance for your beliefs and business begins with your core beliefs and values which should be revisited and distilled often.
We need firm both foundations and upkeep in many areas of our life and business, including Body, Emotions , Livelihood, Intellect, Environment, Family/Friends, and Spiritual.
We are no more capable of leveling up on our BELIEFS through our own strength than I am of moving the furniture by myself, so just as I hired a contractor to replace the carpet, we all need to call on the Master Builder.
I encourage you to click on the replay link below for support and encouragement.
And by the way, the new carpet will be installed March 10!
How can you give the stained, scratched, or dented areas of your BELIEFs to Jesus for healing and repair?
