Listen to Your Intuition…Please
Your intuition is the best business building tool you have; please use it. Your intuition is that gut feeling; or those little nudges or inklings you sense within you. Listen to it, it is telling you something. Ignoring those inklings can be a BIG mistake. Paying attention to them however, will steer you in the right direction. We’ve all experienced the regret of not acting or doing something we felt we should be doing, and later kicked ourselves for not trusting our gut.
Recently I received an email asking me to be involved with a project. Being a highly intuitive person, I sensed an instant “no” arising within my body. As I read the request, I felt my stomach tighten into a knot. I could feel my shoulders drop and a sense of “yuckiness” inside. My intuition was telling me not to follow through with this project. I politely responded by asking to discuss this project in person for more detail. A second email gave me the same yucky feeling confirming my initial inklings.
Here’s the point. Your intuition is one of the greatest assets you have. When you’re not sure about a decision, listen to your gut. Your intuition sends you signals and even shows up in your body. Tightening up; gripping stomach; or feelings of negativity or dread, are all signs for you. Listen to how your body feels, what emotions surface; and if your energy level is perking up of fizzling out. It all means something!
Practice zeroing in to your intuition and let it lead you. Listening to your nudges will keep you on track and focused on what is right for you AND your business.
