Update Yours Today!
As I sit here writing this morning, I got a notice that October 30 is National Checklist Day! Wow, who knew! Good thing I made mine early this morning! Happy National Checklist Day!
Since I have a friend who is the checklist queen of America, if there is such a thing, I just had to send her the information to celebrate her checklist process and how much she gets done each day. She is amazing!
As I read the article, I was shocked to see how checklists started from a very sad story but have now become a common thing and have even saved thousands of lives. Again, who knew?
Want to hear it? Of course you do, so here it goes!
Happy National Checklist Day, check out a Checklist History!
On October, 30, 1935, a beautiful brand new Model 299, or Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, was set to fly after being in development for 5 years. This plane was set to revolutionize the planes for the US Military and maybe even the entire airline industry all the while helping Boeing launch from a multi-million dollar bid to what it is today, a multi-billion dollar business and industry providing us with airplane after airplane.
After the new plane took off, everyone pridefully looked on with excitement towards the future of aviation. However, in an instant, the onlookers, including the U.S. Army Air Corps and members of the Boeing corporation, were filled with horror after the airplane climbed into the sky, suddenly stalled, turned, and then crashed killing two people on board, including the pilot, Major Ployer P. Hill. and injuring two others.
The investigation found there was no mechanical failure and that the airplane was in perfect condition. It was simply human error as the flight crew had forgotten to release the flight control gust locks. This made the plane nose dive right after takeoff.
They found that the modern day airplane (in 1935) had surpassed what the human memory could handle. Even with the best pilots, there were too many things to remember for take off and flight.
Because of this, Boeing implemented the “checklist” as a permanent and mandatory tool to be used for all pilots and it later included checklists for creating airplanes, for the flight crew, for maintenance; and eventually it was used industry wide.
So, how does that apply to us, you ask? Well, NACWE provides tools each week for you and I to check your business (and self) against. We have everything from “How To” to “What NOT to Do” topics. There are checklists, documents, blogs, podcasts and so much in between to help us excel in our businesses.
What’s On Your List?
We don’t want you to financially crash as you launch or develop your business, nor do we want to see you emotionally overwork or hit burnout.
We want success for you!!!! We really do. That is our goal: to celebrate you as you accomplish the purpose God has for you!!!
We want to see you fly as you design your brand, and you “Get More Clients Now” (our current mastermind group coached by Karen, Courtenay & Angela to steer you in your business NOW and not later).
We want to see you soar as you learn from others in the areas of planning, productivity, organization, and even self care. All areas, really!

We want to see you ascend so you can celebrate the small and BIG victories. We want to join you in the celebration too!
