My name is Desirae Shawn, and I am a little country girl from Wichita Falls, Texas. I am a stay-at-home/home school mom to a vibrant and active 9 year old and very active in my local home school community. This December, my husband and I will be married for 5 years. After God, family is my world. I also enjoy being a friend, travelling and charity/volunteer work.
What do you love about being a female entrepreneur?
I love being able to run my business with the values, morals and ethics that I also use in my personal life. I enjoy the flexibility I have in my schedule so I can be what I need to be first for my husband and son, extended family and friends. I thoroughly enjoy networking and meeting other female entrepreneurs.
How did you launch your business and/or dream?
I was introduced to SendOutCards through a personal development program I had attended in the beginning of this year. A couple of months later, I had met a lady at a networking luncheon who is also an independent rep. After visiting with her and completing my research, I knew I wanted to be a part of this company.
What are the biggest challenges you have overcome as a female entrepreneur?
Because I am competitive within myself and driven, I can be so focused on building my business that my other priorities tend to get neglected. So I have to constantly be mindful of my schedule.
Not taking myself so seriously.
Not allowing my fears to keep me from moving forward.
Why do you believe that Inspired Women Succeed?
Inspired women succeed because they are determined and driven. They learn from their mistakes and never stop moving forward. And they are excellent at seeking advice or knowledge from women who have succeeded before them and then turn around to pass it on to the women who come along after them.

Great profile!
We are currently working on our Mission/Vision statements as well. “Changing lives one card at a time.” Great goal.

I couldn’t figure out the numbers to call in and join the group, but it listened to the recorded version of the 11/15 session.
Love being and entrepreneur: love working for Jesus and him alone… what a privilege.
Biggest challenge: BEING BRAVE! controlling fear and time management of my home and my business. Keeping my focus on Christ as my source, not my skills or my advertising.
Greatest goal… to complete an entire curriculum for k-12 to be used worldwide.
LOVE YOU LADIES!!!
