When did you start your business and how has it evolved since then?

I am actually launching my business this month, so it is brand new. The idea for my business actually started in the last year. A couple of my children were identified as having special needs several years ago. This can be a devastating process and often very lonely. I didn’t want anyone else to have to go through this alone. I heard about Life Purpose Coaching Centers International through a friend, I got on the website and hired a Life Purpose Coach and decided I had to become one as well. The coaching process changed my life and I knew God was calling me to do this for others. I have spent the last couple months finishing up the certification process, launching my website, getting on face book and twitter.  I decided to call my business Abundant Blessings Today because I feel it is my mission to help others feel the joy of Christ’s blessings in every area of their life. I have been able to find God’s presence in all areas of my life even in areas that did not appear to be blessings.  I have always tried to live by the motto, “ to whom much is given much is required.” I have been given so much; I feel I could not turn away God’s invitation to help others live a more dynamic life in him.

What do you love about being a female entrepreneur?

I love the freedom I have with being an entrepreneur. I have been a stay at home mom for fourteen years and prior to that I was in human resources and television basically working for someone else. It is such a great feeling to know it is all up to me. All the success or failure I have, as an entrepreneur is mine. For the first time in a long time I am taking chances and risks, I am really living. I think I have always been in entrepreneur in my heart but I have been stopped by my own fears. I am now unstoppable and that is amazing. I love the saying, “You better run with the big dogs or stay on the porch.”  Well I am off the porch and running and no matter where it takes me at least I am in the race!

How does your faith play out in your business?

My business is my faith. I don’t believe I will be successful if Christ is not first I have been very happy being at home and being a mom. My decision to start Abundant Blessings Today was a calling I could not ignore. I had several women calling me asking me for help and I knew God needed me to do something bigger for him. I know all the opportunities and blessings I have had thus far in my life were driven by Christ. He has prepared me to do this so I must follow.

What is your BIG DREAM for your business?

My big dream is to change lives. I want to be able to touch people I come in contact with and use my life for God’s glory. I want to encourage other women to take chances and to live an extraordinary life.

What 3 tips would you share with a friend who is launching her own entrepreneurial adventure?

1. Just do it! I think if we stop and think about something too long we become fearful and then we don’t take action.  Fear is a huge blocker in making decisions. I would say just jump in you have nothing to lose.

2.  Believe in yourself! No one can do what you do. Claim that and own it. If you don’t toot your own horn no one will hear you coming!

3. Pray! If your business is God driven you can’t fail.
