Fabulous Fans and Followers
8000 is a good number. One person at a time. We just hit 8000 fans on our Facebook Fan Page yesterday. I started the fan page in April of 2010. It was 3 weeks before I opened up the membership and had the website ready to show you. I started from ZERO. Just like we all have to do.
Now the interesting thing is that this has all been organic. I tried to do a Facebook ad once and created it myself. I am not gifted in this area. I only got one click. I found this sad but also found it to be funny. Really it just shows me an area where I need to have support and coaching. If you are not good at something, get help, get coaching, learn, or be willing to pay for someone to do it for you. Those are the options.
We love our fans because we know you. We are you.
We know you are working diligently to build your business.
We know that often you feel like throwing in the towel and you might even have sent out a few resumes secretly.
We know that you feel isolated as you work in your home office, or corner of the kitchen, or sitting in a Starbucks somewhere.
We know that the people in your life might have NO CLUE what you are doing or how to support you. In fact, they might keep telling you to “get a real job”.
We know that your business is a key part of your identity, in fact a part of your purpose, and passion. That you feel that God has given you this business and it is your job to do whatever you can to make it work.
We totally get it.
We love you. We are here to celebrate with you on the victory days and cry with you on the breakdown days. We will walk beside you with dignity. We will remind you who you are when you forget. We are your FANS! And we are cheering you as you run mile 3, mile 15 and then as you turn the corner and can see the finish line at mile 26.2. We will be here for you all the way. And we know that you will be here for us too.
Thank you. We love you! Amen.
