Develop the Know-Like-Trust Factor
Are you building your tribe through developing relationships with them? Is your connection with your tribe ultimately leading to conversions? Do they know who you really are, and do they like you? Can they depend on you? People want to do business with people that they know, like, and trust. This is called the Know-Like-Trust factor.
People buy based on emotional connection, hunger, or pain. People want to do business with other people that they feel know and understand them. They want to feel a connection. We want to know that we can trust the person we are handing our money to and spending our time with.
We want to alleviate the pain we are in, which could mean:
- Going to the dentist to get a broken tooth fixed
- That awful noise on the car
- A house that never cleans itself
- The dog that needs a good grooming
You get the picture. We are all out networking and connecting even when we are just living our regular life. You DO NOT ever have to step foot in a networking event, and yet you are still networking daily.
But, as a female entrepreneur, it is your job to make your business a name that is known and trusted. It is your job to be “out and about” for God, alleviating the pain that your business helps solve.
We have to market ourselves, not be a silent spectator or stay in our safe office comfort zone. How will they find out about you and your business if you don’t tell them, or if you are not ever seen? We need to go out there and get connected at networking events:
- Join the Chamber of Commerce and attend a weekly leads group through their organization
- Attend luncheons, meetings, women’s groups
- Join local clubs
We even need to be brave enough to create our own if there is a group that needs to be created in your area. Why not you? Why not now?
What can you do today to begin cultivating the Know-Like-Trust factor?
