Decision-Making in Your Ministry: Level UP Your Fortified Foundations
Decision-Making in Ministry
When Decision-Making in Your Ministry, Jesus can accomplish anything through His power in me. I’m not able to produce in abundance—Jesus is. And the fruit is from His grace rather than my grind.
Do you have questions about decision-making in your ministry? Who should be calling the shots in your business ministry?
We’d fallen behind our publishing schedule, and I was freaking out. I unloaded onto my blogging partner over Messenger, insisting we couldn’t run a ministry business like this. “Consistency is critical,” I reminded her, certain the internet may blow up, and we’d both end up living under a bridge if we didn’t do this right!
Always the loving and firm mentor and friend, she replied,
“Business is different than ministry; there’s a huge difference.
We have to trust that God will bring the right women … at the right time. Stress isn’t from Jesus.”
– Heather Hart, Candidly Christian
In an instant, Heather turned my little anxiety episode into a teachable moment. She ignited an epiphany, and I realized that if I want to run a ministry, I have to do it with Jesus.
Reflection Question:
How did your last stress-based decision turn out? What can you do differently the next time you’re tempted to act upon stress?
Decision-Making in Ministry Begins with Grace Over Grind
What an encouragement for decision-making in your ministry. I love the January 5, 2021 NACWE (National Association of Christian Women Entrepreneurs) webinar “God is Your CEE – Chief Executive of Everything!” because Karen led a reflection session on my life verse, Ephesians 3:14-21. I’ve studied the verse before, but today I saw it through the eyes of a leader in ministry.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”
Ephesians 3:20
I realized that Jesus can accomplish anything through His power in me. I’m not able to produce in abundance—Jesus is. And the fruit is from His grace rather than my grind.
Reflection Question:
What do you rely on to run your ministry endeavors: God’s Grace or your grind?
Decision-Making in Ministry Continues with Meeting Your New CEE
After my lightbulb moment on Sunday, I wondered if the term “ministry business” is an oxymoron. But now I know it’s just a matter of who is making the decisions.
We believe we’ve made it to the top and we’re calling all the shots when our gold-lettered name tent reads “Founder”, “President,” or “CEO.” But today, I encourage you to promote someone even higher, someone who will take your ministry to a level you’d never imagine.
Now, don’t sweat over the resources for onboarding or how you’ll pay for this new position. The perfect candidate is ready to go, and all costs have been paid in full.
All you have to do is engrave this on your heart:
Jesus is your
CEE, Chief Executive of Everything,
especially for decision-making in your ministry.
Reflection question
How can you start each day with God’s presence in your business at the forefront of your heart?
