Ask Diane: How should you start marketing before your business is officially launched?
ASK DIANE
I’m just starting my business, and don’t even have a name for my business yet. What should I do to start marketing it?
You want to start creating “buzz” about your business even before you’ve developed an official business name. Get out and network with others. Be out and about for God. Create buzz on Twitter and Facebook: “I’m launching something!” Tell them in bits and pieces what you’re doing as you are getting ready to launch it. For example, if you want to start a business to help others with organization, do a pre-launch and tell others, “I’m opening in 20 days! Are you organized today?” Get people on board emotionally. I started sharing with others about the idea God had given me for NACWE, and the first member joined before I officially launched NACWE! You also need people around you to cheer you on and give you prayer support.
