You need both. The Facebook Profile Page is your Personal Page. You can certainly increase your reach with a personal page. You are allowed up to 5,000 friends on your Profile page. You can add friends of other friends, add colleagues, look for like-minded people, and look up future connections, such as a speaker, author, coach, etc.
The Facebook Fan Page allows you to have an unlimited number of fans. It is a great way to market your business. You can share quotes and company facts, resources, tips, promotions, sales, special offers, coupon codes, and link to your blog/website or YouTube page. You want as many people as possible to “like” your page. It is a massive opportunity to engage with your present and future customers/clients.
