39 Books on my Book Shelf
In keeping with my countdown to my 40th birthday, each day I will be writing a blog post with some random (and maybe helpful) information. It will include everything from books on my bookshelf, to items in my refrigerator, to apps on my phone….basically facts and tidbits about me. I am excited about turning 40 and part of my nature is to reflect on where I am now, where I have been, and where I am going. I do this each year, but it is especially important as I hit this milestone birthday and turn into a new decade of life.
To get us started, I love books. I have a lot of them in many rooms of my house. Below you will see a sampling of 39 of the ones that happen to be sitting across from me now in my office. It does not count all of the ones on the 3 books shelves in my guest room or the ones that I have in a pile next to my bed. I also have a special basket of books that I am planning to read this summer in my “free time”.
I have always loved to read and cannot imagine a life without books and learning in it. My parents were both teachers and education was just part of our “normal” life. Take a look at my list. I have not read all of these but many of them. I take what works for me and I leave the rest. I learn all the time. I highlight, underline and embrace each word. Enjoy!!

I am assuming Diane this isn’t ALL your books. My husband says I have too many. more than 2 bookshelves full. I have always wanted my own library.
I read somewhere that most people who make multiple six figure incomes have libraries in their homes. That should tell us something! Successful people are avid learners and readers.
