3 Tips To Get You Unstuck and Moving Fast
by Diane Cunningham
If you believe that you can achieve your dreams, you will! It is a matter of making a decision. Even when you’re being wishy washy, you’re making a decison – to NOT do something!
Here are three tips to help you when you get stuck between the DECIDE and the DO action steps.
Tip #1 is Be aware. You need to be aware of your circumstances, your personality, your work load, your time commitments. No one else can look at all of this except you. Be aware of the challenges that you might encounter on the path to your dream – distractions like your dog following you everywhere, sick kids, financial struggles, the negative naysayers, relationship difficulties, your own mindset, an unexpected crisis, etc. Write down obstacles that could come your way so you can brainstorm how you will handle each of them.
Tip #2 is Prepare. Prepare for the work that will be ahead of you in your quest. Prepare for the “race” that God has given you to run. Get more training and education. Ask for help if you don’t know how to do something. Read books on success principles. Hire a coach. Join a mastermind group. Do whatever it takes to prepare. When you are training for a marathon, you don’t sit around on the couch, eating potato chips, fast food, or chocolate all day. You train, you walk, you run, you eat healthy, you drink your water. Do the things necessary to get you to where you want to be.
Tip #3 is Dare. You will need to be daring and take a risk. You will need to trust God, your gut, the process. Always ask yourself this question: What has fear stolen from me? Don’t let it steal any more from your life. Step out. Do the thing that scares you to death. Don’t let fear keep you from your purpose and from living your passion. Don’t let perfectionism hold you back any longer. Dare to do this even if you fall flat on your face – and if you fall, get right back up! Just don’t quit! Keep moving, keep acting fast, keep running and you will get there to the finish line!
