Following the completion of college and graduate school, Mr. Nelson was atPurdueUniversityfor 16 years in the Department of Biochemistry.
After his departure from Purdue, Mr. Nelson founded and owned a private environmental and computer consulting business for eight years.
Upon his return toWichita Fallsin the early 90s, Mr. Nelson managed the family office supply business until its closure in the mid-90s.
In 1996 he joined theSmallBusinessDevelopmentCenteras a business analyst, becoming Assistant Director in 1999.
Mr. Nelson has trained and worked in the areas of environmental chemistry, computer applications and small business issues for over 35 years.
He is an avid racquetball player having earned his way to the state senior racquetball championships three times, winning his division twice.
He is married with three grown children and four grandchildren.
